Brief Description:  Filtered Air Box (FAB)

Started off by putting the rubber protective sleeves back on the prop cable, and reinstalled that loosely. Then I started on the FAB, trimming it to fit the cowl, attaching the platenuts and filter brackets. Then I messed up. I drilled the air box to the plate okay, but then, in a moment of occasional stupidity, I trimmed the top flange of the airbox, for purely cosmetic reasons, and then when I went to fit it, the opening wasn't big enough, which before I trimmed most of the edge of the flange off, could have been easily rectified, but now, using all of the flange, the opening is pretty much marginal. I'm going to look at it again tomorrow, but I think I have to order another airbox. Another $58.... oh well. *Upon further review, with the cowl completely closed up, the fit is good, with a little rework of the airbox. An eaxy fix. And, since I just threw more money at the plane when ordering my seats, I think I'll save the $58!
