Shaped and smoothed upper empennage fairing to conform with leading edge of vertical stabilizer. When fit was nominal, used strap duplicator to layout mounting screw holes in forward bottom corners by spinning long drill bit to mark location; removed part and drilled holes. Marked and drilled the screw holes for the vertical stabilizer nut plates, starting from the front holes on each side and gradually working back; removing and refitting the part after each successive pair of holes to assure proper continuous fit.
