Brief Description: Left Elevator - 01 - Spar & Counterbalance
- Attached reinforcement plates and nut plates to left elevator spar and final drilled. - Assembled counterbalance ribs and final drilled. - Attached ribs to spar and drilled to spar. - Removed ribs and attached the counterbalance to the ribs using the counterbalance skin. - Drilled #12 holes in lead counterbalance using the counterbalance skin as a guide. - Removed counterbalance and attached counterbalance assembly to spar (less the counterbalance). - Attached left elevator root rib (E-705) and final drilled to #40. - Need to fabricate stiffeners for and attach to left elevator skin to continue. Also, will need trailing edge folding jig for both the right and left elevator skins. Will also need a 1/2" x 4' steel pipe to roll the leading edge of the skins.
