Brief Description: Rudder - 03a - Building Rudder Understructure
- Deburred Right skin holes and edges. - Dimpled all stiffner holes on Right skin. - Began assembly of Rudder skeleton while primer was drying. - Clecoed bottom rib to spar (R-904 to 902). - Enlarged bolt hole in rib and spar to 3/8". - Fabricated shim (R-917) for bottom rib and rudder horn. - Attached rudder horn and final drilled holes. - Radiased top of rudder horn to ensure proper fit to lower rib. - Clecoed the bottom assembly for final drilling (bottom rib, rudder horn, shim and spar - R-904, R-405PD, R-917, R902). - Clecoed the reinforcement plates to the rudder spar (R-606, 607, 608 to R-902).
