Brief Description: Horizontal Stabilizer - 03 - Front HS Spar
- Clecoed Front Spars (Left and Right) together with reinforcement angles (HS-710 & HS-714). - Drilled all required holes to #30. - Marked parts and removed reinforcement angles to put a radius on them. - Put approximately a 1/4 radius on the upper reinforcement angle (HS-710). The plans have this raduis at 3/4 scale so I couldn't just transfer it to the part so I guessed. I used a dime to get the basic shape on the smaller part and a nickel on the larger one. I used the 6" grinding wheel to remove most of the material then switched to a vixen file to get to the line and then smoothed it out with a finer file and then removed most of the deep filing grooves with the 6" Scotchbrite wheel. Used the Dremel with a polish wheel to get to close to a final finish and then used the Scotchbrite hand pads to finish it up. Quite an ordeal...
