Brief Description: Parts fabrication, and forward belly skin
Today was a big day. It was gorgeous outside, and among other chores, I was able to get some cool items knocked out. I fabricated the rear mount for the control column, and it's associated pieces, and temp installed them into place. (Can be seen in image 3)
Next, I finally finished drilling the tiny area between the 411, and 412 bulkheads. (With tailwheel mount removed) Everything aft of F407 is now ready to be taken back apart, deburr/dimple/prime, and reinstalled for good.
Lastly, and the biggie for the day - I marked, measured, and cut (including the narrow wedge in the center - that is a pain in the butt) It is now taped in place on the skeleton. If you look at image 3 upside down, it looks pretty neat! I have a floor! Hopefully I can spend some time tomorrow drilling this large skin.
