Brief Description: Drilled leading edge to skeleton, made W-423
Yesterday and today are together here. I started drilling the leading edge skin to the skeleton last night, but it got late. Finished drilling the top half this morning. I also fabricated, located, and driled the W-423 splice plate for the transition from leading edge skin to fuel tank. That was a tight squeeze! I finished by temp installing the main top skin to check the fit between main skin and leading edge. It looks like I will need to do a bit of filing, but that is better than having a gap. The skins overlap about .010". I will wait until after everything is deburred, dimpled, primed, and ready to rivet before doing any filing. Looks more like a wing!
