Brief Description:  Built Aluminum Wing Jig/Stand

Today, Allen and I constructed an aluminum wing jig. I had gotten some aluminum extrusions from my father-in-law that he was going to scrap. My wooden jig, made out of 4X4's had twisted and warped and had become useless before I was even ready to really use it. However, this new jig, should hold its shape. I put 4 casters on it, so I can move it, and allthread on the corners to adjust it for level. Works GREAT! No pictures of the jig by itself, but you can get the idea. The allthread in the center is to ensure perfect level in the center of the jig, and to level the rear spars to ensure straightness (no sag) from root to tip. (This is my answer to the car jack method) Took 6-8 hours to build the jig. I am ready to finish disassembling everything to prepare for priming. Also, for ease of removal, and alignment, I connected all leading edge ribs with 1/4" all thread. This will later align the nose ribs with the main ribs for a long straight rivet line.
