Brief Description: engine first oil, cowling epoxy
Safety wired left wheel pant brackets. Corrected pilot side seat belt issue. Inflated right and left main tires to 45 lbs. Took off lower cowl and began finish sanding the corners to match air intake. Removed left engine oil drain and drained preservative oil out, leaned the plane using jacks to help the oil draining. Removed sparkplugs, installed an oil quickdrain in place of the Lycoming oil plug. Added 8 quarts of Aeroshell 100 straight mineral oil and spun the prop. Eventually got a pressure reading of approx. 50 psi. Dipstick showed 6 quarts. Reinstalled spark plugs, checked for leaks. None found.
