Cut a new mountling plate, (bolts to flange of AFP FI servo), and positioned the servo mount to the left by 1/4" - as seen from pilot. This moved the FAB to the right to align with snorkle and away from left side of cowl in the snorkly tunnel. This makes the chamber of the filtered side inside FAB assymetric, but no suggestion in documentation would be contra-indicated.
RAM air coming into the FAB will already be assymetric on the outside chamber because the servo (i.e., vertical induction of sump) is offset noticeably to the left. Only a drastic re-design could make the FAB symmetrical with the yaw axis.
Degreased, primed, and then rolled on a thin clear coat of resin on in/outside surfaces of the FAB fiberglass.
