Continuing to work my way 'around' the perimeter, from the wing tips to the wing attach points. Time to position the gear mounts so that the routing of fuel, vent, and brake lines can be determined. These lines (tubing) all have to exit the fuselage near the gear mount points, and two of them have to pass under/through or near the mounts.
In addition, I've been awaiting the final final final alignment check on the angle of incidence and sweep until all the attach points are near final alignment. Although measured and clamped in-place, the final drilling of the rear spar was postponed. Alignment of the gear mounts is the last step to do that task. This is the right side only.
This QB kit was factory drilled so alignment of the gear will be double-checked but is expected to be to spec.
The gear mounts will be left 'installed' along the fuselage sides, the wings will soon be removed and the faux spar re-inserted. The gear mounts will be bolted to the faux spar/bulkhead so the landing gear can mounted to the fuselage for the remainder of the build.
