Brief Description: VP-100, Bench Test -
|
|
After some initial misunderstanding about the minimum wires to be connected, we fired up the VP-100 power control center to do preliminary orientation.
A good friend and electronics wizard, fellow HAM operator, Ken McLeod assisted by reading through all the instructions. Then with a 12V light bulb and some lead wires, we experiemented with the VP-100 switch assignments.
Like many new adventures, the learning curve was initially steep, but after a few confusing false starts the light went ON, literally, and then the concepts started to make sense.
Next step will be a complete inventory of the aircraft's electrical components, down to the wire length, items, operations, and loads.
Scratched the surface and was impressed with the operation of the control panel.
