Brief Description: Odyssey battery box mount to F/W
Continued work on battery box and mounts for the PC680 Odyssey battery, still following the RV-7A firewall layout. Having a set of RV-9A Preview Plans was handy to refer to the ES PC680 Option Kit fold-out plans for dimensions and materials. There are some areas of the RV-6 plans that leave something to be desired.
The RV-9A Preview Plans for the ES PC680 includes the information that the -9 and -7 use this layout, so it is consistent with the RV-7A firewall plan, as applied to the RV-6A.
I will be adding the nutplates on the next work session and cutting lightening holes in the BACK SIDE only ... preserving the data label on the front side. I cannot hope to save enough weight by doing the front side that it's worth the work or the 'look' that will result.
Back after work and finished it up. Riveted, primed, nutplates and F/W drilled --- temporarily bolted loosely.
