Brief Description: Testing NAV and Strobe visibility
No photos. --- put the test batt, switches and 'breadbroad' setup on the roof of the pickup and drove to the nearest parallel roadway to observe the visibility. This was the Grn (Rt) wingtip.
The Grn LEDs are highly visible from 1/3 mile away and I have no doubt that it is comparable to any of the certificated plane wingtip NAV lights.
The strobe seemed to be less intense than expected from the up-close tests. The white light was almost overshadowed by the intensity of the Grn NAV lights. Need to check my BATT charge and arrange a 'clean' Stobe only test, too, which will require a helper to move the light, and to observe over an unobstructed distance of 1-3 miles.
