Over more than a week have sanded, filled and repeated the process of contouring the fairing for the fwd edge of the canopy plexiglass. Finall got it close enough after today's work and added a couple of coats of primer (GBP 688).
Pealed off the blue protective plastic from the fwd skin (covers equipment bay) and clecored that in place. Fit looks very good with a consitent gap to the canopy fwd edge. With struts in place and the fairing doen the shape of the canopy is no longer shifting around.
Ready to disassemble and begin the riveting process and finish the top cowl, too.
