Brief Description:  Cowl - Lower hinges & alternator recess

Removed the Right lower hinge half from the cowl and cleaned-up cowl surface before adding a 0.032 shim under the cowl hinge half. Also made a minor fore/aft adjustment and ran a #30 12" bit thru the eyelets to clear some resin debris. Replaced hinge with a 'bed' of "dry' micro resin and installed cowl to set with pin inserted.

Finally addressed the Kelly Aero alternator and the lower cowl 'bump' (alternator recess in cowl). After attempting to create a bubble of resin/cloth I concluded that I'd switch to a Plane Power 60amp lightweight and smaller alternator. Nothing wrong with Kelly but with the size of the alt fan it was always going to be a challenge to avoid cowl interference. Aerodynamic considerations on the lower cowl are secondary.
