Cut out the oil inspection door in the top cowl, found the Vans fiberglass door, and did a rough fit.
Trimmed the door opening to shape and trimmed excess from door. The door is 'slightly' more curved than cowl, but will have to see if it flattens. Joggle in cowl is not consistent, with insufficient depth on two sides. Expect to cut the joggle out and re-glass to gain depth. Added resin mix around the perimeter to 'square up' to the surface of the cowl and get better fit on door edges.
Filed with a rasp, and coarse sand paper to remove excess. Next step is determining the hinge that I will use, after-market or Vans spec, and latch.
