Brief Description:  Canopy - mounts (pivot blocks)

Photo #1 of the erroneously manufactured center rib with the reversed flanges. Too late now, Will use it as is, however the rib is also 3/4" short on the forward end and will required a fix to secure it to the firewall.

In order to 'move' the location of the hinge UHMW pivot blocks (replacements), I enlarged the previous holes in the rib, fabricated a backing plate, re-positioned the UHMW blocks to align canopy skin to forward sking, then drilled the new bolt holes.

Photo #3 missing the hole for the hinge pin in the short rib, but the hole exists on the UHMW blocks behind the rib and will be matched drilled on the next disassembly.

Much better alignment on canopy achieved. Found that the right side was actually distorted slightly by contact on the 1/4" AL spacer in the hinge block. The hinge was restrainted and the canopy frame could not move forward. This was leaving an inflexible gap in the skins. After fixing the position of the UHMW blocks, the canopy alignment is improved.

The jettison release links sit a little proud on the UHMW pivot mounted on the channel. It needs to be trimmed on the top and deepen the steps to clear the nuts on the bottom of the fasteners.
