Brief Description:  Panel - layout new panel

Revisiting the panel layout to decide what changes are desired, or possible in cutting the new blank panel. The determining factor seems to be one component and the connector and wiring harness behind it.

The custom interface cable from SteinAir was based on the complexities of the communications requirements, lots of complicated and critical shielding/grounding elements. The SkyView Comm and Intercom results in a large harness on a DB25 to the SV-Intercom. The distance between the Panel & Subpanel is relatively short and the Intercom is the deepest element, combined with it's cable there is only one method to accomodate this, cut a hole in the subpanel directly behind the location of the intercom.

The Intercom cannot move left, the SV-(EFIS) is there, and it cannot move right, the support for the canopy ejection/release is there. It's visibility is less than the Comm so it can be lower then the Comm. Conclusion - it stays where it was cut out on the first panel. So with minor adjustments and more precision the new panel layout remains the same.
