Brief Description:  FWF - various

Deviations from standard plans always have a penalty to pay in time, having to carefully consider the impact on the other standard tasks. Considering the use of the larger oil cooler and FW mounting has taken some planning. One aspect is the clearance for the 4" SCAT tubing instead of the 3" of the smaller cooler. The large cooler is essentially the size for the O-540, and the FW mount is not designed for it's width. The oreviously fabricated adapter appears too complex, a simplified minor adaptation is smaller and easier. Had to use a heat gun to soften the thread sealant, removed and re-clocked the AN fittings, including the output 90 deg on the accessory cover, replaced with a 45 deg AL AN.

Routing hoses also appears to have a simpler solution. Longer is better than shorter. Putting the AN fittings on the outboard side is more accessible. Realized the fittings should be top/botom vs side-by-side on top. (Heat raises) Now need to finalize position and install it.

Also inventoried all the FWF components and did a review of the hose routing, interference with the cooler, and connections. Located my Dynon sensors and tested hose routing. Fabricated the 'jumper' on the SkyTec starter (removed in the helo configuration).

Finally, researched fuel system components and prepared an order for a Lyc High Pressure mechanical fuel pump. Double checked the AFP website and preparaed to order the FM-150 F/I system.
