Final assemply fit test of the oversize oil cooler and F/W mount to determine clearnces for installation and maintenance. Propped up with a scrap of 1 1/2" foam, it is a bit lower than final position but a reasonable starting point. At this point there appear to be no major obstacles to this configuration.
F/W mount sensor manifold will be above, the oil filter F/W recess is NOT needed, the battery, ground block, relays, and gascolator are all on the right side. There will be a few F/W penetrations for cables and wiring but I think it's flexible.
Disassembled, cleaned, applied a coat of primer and added nutplates. Re-assembled the adapter portion and riveted the components. Reviewed clearances and position but not drilled.
Retrieved the RV-9A Preview Plans and got the details for the Odyssey battery case configuration. Fabricated the hold-down, and angles to mount on the firewall, and reviewed the alignment. Enough for one night ... will finish tomorrow.
