Cleaned and closely examined the accessory cover. Also organized components and fasteners on the shelves. General clean-up of greasy or oily parts to evaluate for re-assembly.
Checked the piston p/n's and all four show 'STD' (SL-75889 STD). Having rebuilt a handful of big block auto engines over the decades this seems surprising when such an "old" engine is not bored oversize or showing wear. Feeling generally optimistic and looking forward to re-assembly someday.
