Fabricated the F-635 bellcrank for the elevator pushrods. This bellcrank is comprosed of several factory pre-cut and pre-bend components and AN hardware. It will connect the control column components to the rear pushrod for the elevator control.
Used clecoe side clamps to hold components together while 'back-drilling' through all the layers with a #30 bit. Disassembled, deburred, primed and reassembled for riveting with AN4-6 universal head rivets. Spacers made of .063 AL compensate for the thickness of the bearing component.
The 3/16" holes were pre-drilled at the factory.
Used the c-frame to set the rivets and was unhappy with the number of smiley's that resulted. Need to be more careful with maintaining parts steady on the c-frame while hammering with the other hand. An acquired skill?
