Constructed a simple V-Block jig for centering the control tubes - (F-689). First, center the bit, and secure the jig on the press table. Drilled 6 equi-distance holes on each end. The snap in the MS-42 BS (blind rivets) to retain the tube ends (VA-115 for the each Heim joint).
Also - primed the inside of the tube before inserting the VA-115 rod ends. Sealed one end of the tube, poured in about 4-5 ozs of Mar-Hyde single-stage self etching primer. Rocked the tubes end to end and poured out the excess.
Didn't let it dry completely before inserting the VA-115's and found out after riveting when the excess 'leaked out' ... not too bad.
Took all tubes (ailerons, elevator, etc) and primed them all - then let them dry thoroughly.
