Brief Description:  Moving to new house

Have spent the last 6 months remodelling a new house, and now have to move a dorminant RV-6A project. After an aborted attempt at using a 1/2 ton Chevy pickup, I borrowed a really big box truck from a friend. Whole new game, put it in, drive and take it out. (Yeh, it was all strapped down, too.]

From Tempe to East Mesa, only 18 miles on the freeway, and nice cool fall day with some clouds to make the day more comfortable. Thanks for help from Mike Andresen, and John Vick from EAA #228 who sacrificed 1/2 day of their time to help. John just finished his RV-8 in FIVE AND A HALF MONTHS, and Mike is working rapidly on his RV-10. Had some help from Mike Cycon, too, who justed finished his RV-6A. He helped with the attempt on the pick-up.

With the lift gate we used a couple of air mattresses and horse blankets to pad it all. We carried the wings, then put them back on the cart to transport. Similarly, we carried the fuse and set them bac on the false-spar and saw horse. We strapped it gently, but securely, to the side rails. With three people it worked well.

No garage or workshop at the new house - yet. The large driveway and carport areas may be used in the future to setup the project, mount wings, and set the angles. I think the Mobile Mini is a better workshop than used by many builders, so I can do it, too.
