Brief Description:  Workshop

Began the process of putting the control surfaces back up on the garage ceiling for storage. Had to remove everything for work on the drywall (texturing and painting). Continuing to clean-up and organize the workshop for airplane factory work.

The HS is suspended on the eye-bolts that were previously used for hanging the fuselage earlier, now tied up with nylon rope.

The elevators and ailerons are suspended on newer eye-bolts and 18" bungee cords. Eye-bolts are inserted into pre-drilled holes in the joists which are 'generally' on 24" centers. Having the ceiling stripped bare and extending the garage allow me to clearly identify and map-out the joist locations and directions.

Control surfaces are literally suspended on the bungee cords, with a little 'bounce' - their weight keeps them from touching the ceiling. They can be easily brought down and re-stored when needed and won't depend on moving something else to get the component I want.
