Brief Description:  Bellcranks, and rivets

Mike Andresen, came over again to continue to assist on a few items and get hands-on. He announced that he just ordered an RV-10 emp kit. Wow - a convert.

We reviewed a list of possible tasks, and settled on some wing items. We tracked down the dwg for the bellcranks, and spec'ed out the appropriate fasterners, washers, bolt and nuts. Found that I had not finished fitting the spacers to accomodate the washers adjacent to the bearing. Spun the spacers on the drill press with a little emery cloth, taking off about .020 to ensure a perfect fit. Torqued the bolt but I wasn't happy with the threads 'showing' and later replaced the washer under the nut with a 'thin' equivalent. (Will double chk this with Vans to be sure it's okay.)

Torqued the right wing bellcrank, already to go and moved on to rivets.

Spent a lot of time setting up, 'practicing' and (removing practices), and re-riveting the end rib. Mike and I had been away from rivets for too long. We then did the right wing end-rib, with me bucking and Mike shooting. After he left, I did more riveting solo.
