Brief Description:  Transport QB wings

Secured the wing cart to the pick-up tie-downs with nylon straps and ropes. Used two air mattresses for padding on the wings, one between the wings inside the vertical supports and the second over the top. (Air mattress - perfect for airplane)

Normally, this would have been a quick and easy drive of less than 15 miles but on the way to Mesa (FFZ) to pick-up the wings, the weather report from Phoenix Sky Harbor (20 milies west) was gusts of 25 to 35 mph. My first stop was across the street at a WalMart to pick-up more rope and tie-down straps to ensure that nothing came loose.

Uneventful trip. Laid the wings on the air mattresses in the front yard and moved the cart back into the garage. Easily carried each wing through the side door (the garage door is nailed shut during remodelling).

Plan to transport the QB fuselage in a few days using a friend's 14 ft trailer. (Yes, the garage door WILL be removed to get that inside.) It will be suspended from the ceiling until the garage is more organized.
