Brief Description: Skin - Rivet & Control surfaces
Finished riveting the Rt wing top skin on the wing, including the aileron gap seal. Last three rows (ribs) and both spars easy to reach through the end ribs.
Re-did the flap pin; divided into TWO pins and secured inhoard pin in the area where eyelets were removed mid-hinge. The outboard pin passes through a hole in the inhoard aileron bracket and secure the outboard section of hinge, and is safetied to the bracket.
The split pin was the best maintenance conflguration.
Found the 'bearing in the aileron brackets to be dry and stiff, with some primer paint. Cleaned these and rotated with a hint of Boelube to get free rotation.
