Brief Description:  Taxi light install - prelim

Marked, drilled/cut, shaped, deburred, and polished Rt wing LE for a taxi light. DuckWorks 'taxi' light (like the Lt Wing Landing light, but aimed 'higher').

Used the supplied template to mark the location of the light lens and painted a light coat of primary to designate the area to be removed. Drilled pilot holes, then used the Unibit to remove the perimeter of the area. Snipped out the remaing area 'roughly' and then a hand-drill and rotary rasp to widen the hole, (painted area). After shaping the edges, sanded them smooth, and used some ScrotchBrite to polish out any scratches or irregularities.

Inserted the DuckWorks light, and used the template to mark the locations of the nutplates needed to secure the light.

Marked the plastic lens, then trimmed with a pnuematic cut-off wheel. Then a band sander to remove the excess outer area and shape to approx 1" border (larger than opening n LE). Inserted the lens and tested fix.
