Brief Description:  Wing, various tasks

Recv'ed the 1st of several orders expected. West Systems epoxy, flox, and fiberglass cloth tape. Should be enough to be initiated into the fiberglassing club. Mainly need to glass in the wingtip light inserts, and then attach 1/2" strips for the nutplates in the wingtips.

Got side tracked on other tasks ...

Spent some time studying the RV-9A Preview Plans, to see drawing details on the fuel tank sending units, and found the answer I needed to fix an open issue with my flap linkage. The -6A plans, as expected have an almost identical flap linkage attach point but the -9A plans use a nutplate instead of an AN nut. That nut is almost impossible to tighten with a wrench and will present a future maintenance problem. Therefore, I decided to remove a small portion of the flap attach points and install two nuplates to solve the issue. Details to follow. Photo shows the parts.

Fabricated a new bracket for the flap attach on the Rt to add a little more 'edge distance' for the nutplate.
