Brief Description:  Review progress on wing alignment

No pictures

Decided to very carefully align all four bobs with a single point laser (instead of the vertical line unit). This allowed the four strings of the bobs to be 'touched' by a clear laser beam at the same time.... concluding that the left wing needed to retreat slightly and all four would be aligned. Measured the distance to the reference tail points and was off by approximately 1/8th". Close enough for government work --- stop and do something else. I did mark the rear spar reference mark and also checked the Angle of Incidence.

The A of I was pretty close, too. The one frustration is that the fuselage skin that overlaps under the inboard bottom wing skin, is about 1/8" from a smooth and 'contact' alignment. Pushing the rear spar of the wing down 1/8" would have a nice flush fit but not aligned on the level.

Worth at least a review with Vans, and re-visit everything before any holes are drilled in the rear spar. Measure another two or three times and sleep on it.
