Brief Description: Inside Layup and Installing the Upper Longeron
12/30/2005 Cut two layers of UND at 30°. I used duct tape to cover the edges of the UND. This works great! 12/31/2005 Layed down two layers of UND at 30° to each other referenced to the top edge. I originally had trouble getting the glass to lay down into the control stick depression. I found if you work at it from the rear side first, wetting the glass and working it into the bends, that the control stick depression was not such a problem. I peel ply'd the aft landing gear attachement area and the lower edge in preparation for the lower longeron attachement. I attached the ipper longeron with flox, weighted it down and clamped it to the center spacer. 01/02/2006 I trimmed and sanded the fiberglass in preparation for the 4 plys of UND and the lower longerons. I also cut the glass for the 4 plys of UND. 01/03/2006 Wet out the 4 plys of UND on a sheet of plastic and layed it on the upper longerons. I had a lot of problems with air bubbles and may need to repair some of them.
