Brief Description: Building the Forms for the FS sides and Preparing
12/19/2005 Started to setup the jigs for the sides. Still need to glue 12/20/2005 Bondo'd jigs to the table. Started measuring out the masonite 12/22/2005 Cut out the masonite for the fuselage side form. Cut out most of the fuselage side 3/8" foam. 12/23/2005 Finished cutting the 3/8" foam for the fueslage sides. Question about 7/8" spacer: Can I use a 3/4" spacer? Emailed Cozy Mailing list 12/23/2005 I can use the 3/4" spacer. I nailed down the masonite using the 3/4" spacer, making sure that the masonite did not convex at the curves. I started to epoxy the foam pieces together. I decided to try the hing and tape method with the MGS. BAD IDEA! The MGS is too thin and does not set fast enough. The tape did not hold worth a flip. I went back to using 5 minute epoxy using a popsicle stick and wax paper below it. That worked fine. 12/24/2005 Finished epoxying the foam together. 12/26/2005 Started cutting the 3/4" spacer foam. 12/28/2005 Finished cutting the 3/4" spacer foam. Ready to epoxy onto sides 12/29/2005 I epoxied with micro slurry the spacers on the co-pilot side. 12/30/2005 I epoxied with micro slurry the spacers on the pilot side.
