In order to flip the plan over, the engine was removed. I decided to leave the engine mount attached to the firewall and remove the engine from the mount. This presented one clearance issue. The two magnetos interfered with the removal. One had to be removed. I removed the left magneto (looking from back accessories toward prop flange). The open accessory port was sealed using blue masking tape to keep foreign material out.
I expect to leave this magneto off in order to install the timing housing for the electronic ignition. The magneto was wrapped up in plastic for protection.
