Today we started with step 2 of page 18-04 which was pretty straightforward up until step 5. Step 5 requires to insert an AN3 bolt through the hole of the A-1208 bracket. We got stuck since the only bolt that we had was from the lighting kit and it was too short. Consulting with Franklin we came to the conclusion that this bolt is only needed temporarily and we can use any other AN3 from the other teams which we’ll do on Saturday. In another subject, whilst Franklin was inspecting page 15-06 he noticed two badly placed rivets on our right rear spar assembly which can be seen in Figure 3 of page 15-06. We removed both of them and riveted again, but we noticed that the hole had expanded and now the rivet’s shop head was only filling the hole but not gripping the parts together, we’ll report to Van’s.
