Brief Description:  Flight 56

0.5 flight time, 5x around pattern, 4 landings. Did one go-around as a plane in front (a very slow flyer) did a full stop and took a long time to taxi down to the turn-off. Not his fault, I just didn't judge how slow his roll-out would be. Interesting to do a go-around from low level - full power, don't touch the flaps until at a safe altitude, then adjust trim. Probably could have trimmed earlier, but I was focused on shifting left of the runway (taxiways on the right) and going up. The handheld was silent from right after takeoff. Turns out the frequency knob got bumped when I set it on the seat, so it was off freq from there on. I should have checked it, but in patterns I was focused on where the other planes were. An Archer landed right after my first takeoff. He taxied back and sat in the runup area, then left after I did the go around. I hope I didn't scare him off, but that's life at an uncontrolled field. I heard him calling inbound before I took off - my guess is he was a German airline trainee. The taxiway "turnaround" area work looks largely complete - prelude to tower operations starting probably next year. Wheel landings were good. Figured out that raising flaps on the roll out is a smooth way to set the tailwheel down.
