0.4 flight time, 4x around pattern. Been a few weeks. Tried the handheld today with the headset adapter. Worked pretty well for receiving, other than the squelch wasn't high enough when the engine throttled up for takeoff. Took off with the big buzz in the ears, then when climbout was good and established, switched hands on the stick to get the squelch up on the radio. Know better for next time. Transmit didn't work - well, it worked, but it was just a big garbled buzz. So I listened and maintained spacing that way. Initial takeoff was right behind the C-172 that has the hangar across from mine. A plane took off, another landed, and another one was in the pattern behind me - all this right around 7am. Anyway, last landing I'm focused on when the wheels touch to stick another wheel landing, and the guy taxiing in starts going on about where he is on the ground. Bounce. Still talking. Bounce. I recover into a 3-point, then taxi long to avoid someone else heading out on the taxiway.
