Brief Description:  Flight 33 - More Vy data

0.9 flight time. After a couple of weeks of too much wind... Tried for more Vy data, this time all at 2800 rpm. Between 5500 - 6200 MSL, OAT = 42.7 F. First set of data: 120 mph, 700 fpm. 110 mph, 900 fpm. 100 mph, 900 fpm. 90 mph, 1600 fpm (that's what it showed). 80 mph, 900 fpm. 70 mph, 1100 fpm. Then I re-did 90-120 because I didn't feel like they were very stable. 120 mph, 450 fpm. 110 mph, 650 fpm. 100 mph, 650 fpm. 90 mph, 1000 fpm. Flight started w/ 15 gallons on board, ended w/ between 11 and 12 gallons on board. On the way back, did some full-throttle just to see where the engine is at this point. Got 3200 rpm level, 170 mph indicated. Slight descent (~200 fpm) saw 3300 rpm and just over 180 mph indicated. Though I may have gotten there in leve flight by waiting longer. The engine is definitely loosening up - first flights I couldn't get 2900 rpm. After return, I changed the oil - only about 1.8 quarts comes out of the sump, though there's slightly over 3q in the system (part in the oil cooler, part in the heads). 16 hr 45 min total on the engine now, with 15.3 total flight time.
