Brief Description:  Flight 34

Started by changing the oil filter. Using Purolator brand this time, on a recommendation. Used FRAM for the last 14 hours or so, and the one from the factory for the first hour or so. The one from the factory didn't seal well. Fram sealed ok, and I liked the molded-on grip material. This was the first flight after filling / smoothing the inside of the RH cowl inlet. This isn't working yet. Temps had been running a little higher on this side (20-40F), but were consistently 60F higher now. Fortunately, this is with the tallest baffle plate installed. So I will swap out the baffle plate and sand the inside of the inlet to open it up a little more over the head fins. Just did some racetrack patterns at 2700 and 2750 rpm. 0.5 flight time. After a few rainy days, I ran through a puddle on the ramp on the way back - and without wheel pants, water went all over the top and bottom of both wings. So first stop on return was to dry all that off. Need to get those wheel pants on. Treads on both wheels are wearing on the outer 1/3 of the tires more than the rest of the tire.
