Brief Description:  Engine / Flight 11

Installed the LH baffle. This one goes on/off much easier than the RH, but the door at the aft end for the plug wires is different, and the RH one can't be the same. Reinstalled the oil cooler baffle onto the oil cooler, then reinstalled the oil cooler onto its brackets on the engine. Reattached the oil hoses. The short LH hose was much more difficult to reinstall than I remember, but I finally found a way to angle a wrench into it. Re-added the oil drained from the cooler (about 425ml). Rolled it out and ran it for a few minutes on the ground. Didn't show any leaks, but it's done this before. Put the cowling on and did once around the pattern (0.2 flight time). It was solid overcast and light rain when I got back (rain is rare around here). Put it back in the hangar, pulled the cowling - STILL leaks. The threads on the RH side of the oil cooler are bad, after weeks of sending it back to them for testing. I could see the threads were cut poorly before I put the fitting back in (like the tap was bonked at an angle while cutting), but I put it back in anyway. I am extremely frustrated with Aeroclassics. They didn't fix it when given the opportunity. I have no choice but to pull it again and see if they can make it right. Otherwise, I'll have to find another brand of cooler.
