Tim's airplane was out of the hangar, so much easier to just roll mine out and fly. Buttoned up the cowling, did the preflight, then slowly taxiied out to warm up the oil. Did 2x around the pattern with a full stop both times (0.4 flight time) to warm it up and reveal any further leaks. Weather was great, about 4C, wind 100 at 9 for landing on runway 12. Saw 1200 FPM on takeoff at 110 mph, so it's got more rate of climb in it if I'd trade off some airspeed. Both landings I pulled power to idle just before turning base to see what would happen in a real power off. It comes down quicker, but was predictable. Glad I did the flight, as the left side cooler fitting leaked which didn't show up on the last flight. The rest of the time was spent pulling the cooler, which I have gotten quicker at. I'll reseal the fittings with something else and try again.
