Brief Description: Data plate, ball mount.

Worked a little more on the ball mount. Most of this time was spent delivering the data plate to the engravers. Plate is just under $4 from Wicks, but the engraving will be more on the order of $25. I've seen plenty of plates that are just hand-stamped, but I think for all the careful effort that goes into this, that I can have a plate that looks better than that. Before going with the Wicks plate, also did some looking into getting a SST plate custom made - quote from a commercial supplier was $50 because that was their minimum order. The plate from Wicks, though it includes space for a few items that won't be used (Prod. cert & Type cert), is nicely made with the labels for the spaces etched to be above the field of the plate. I really don't like those plates with the builder's address, HP, and gross weight - items not required by the regs. But I also didn't want an EAA logo on my plate like what comes in the EAA certification kit (which I didn't buy because all the info is in AC 20-27F, and all the forms are downloadable PDF's).
