Brief Description:  Vert stab installation

Drilled the 3 bolt holes through the forward spar. Removed the vert stab. Drilled the forward spar fitting for the nutplates. Left off the RH nutplate due to edge distance on one of its rivets. A regular AN365-428 nut will fit here. C-sunk and riveted on the nutplates. Figured out each bolt needs 2 washers to not bottom out the nut / nutplate on the threads. Installed the AN3 bolts through the aft spar. Each one required 2 washers. The 8 AN3-6A's called out for the center portion of the bolts were way too long. Installed AN3-5A's here with 1 washer. These center 8 bolts are only attaching the .188 aft spar to the .032 aft channel, so there's not a lot of thickness here. Got all these torqued. Removed one of the hinge lugs from the middle of the fuselage side of the hinge to facilitate installing the hinge pin in 2 pieces. Cut the hinge pin in 2 pieces. Installed the upper portion by hammering it up from below using a piece of hinge pin that is a little long. Slid the lower hinge pin into place with the short section of hinge that attaches to the fuselage. Drilled that short hinge. Noted interferences on the rudder horn with the rudder stop plates on the fuselage, and marked these. Started to remove the rudder, and only could get the lower hinge pin back out. Noticed that the forward spar was still contacting the t-deck skin, pushing it down. So I'll have to pull the entire vert stab back off to fix that anyway, so maybe I won't have to worry about getting the hinge pin back out.
