Identified required left wing and center section rib blanks and cut them from 0.0040" and 0.020" sheet aluminum. began forming left wing main ribs. Traced initial blank from pattern onto aluminum blank. Used snap punch to mark pattern holes on blanks. Cut blank and drilled small pilot holes for one pattern bolt location and any strain reliefs. Smoothed 1st blank and then used it as a template for marking remaining rib blanks. Cut all blanks using electric shears to rough dimension and finished with hand shears as needed. All blanks were marked with snap punch at reqd. hole locations. All blanks were drilled with relief holes and one pattern bolt hole (1/4") Remaining pattern bolt hole was drilled with blank in place between pattern pieces, so every blank was centered and bolts aligned easily for shaping.
