I began preparing the nose gear by sanding the bearing surface of the shaft so that the thrust bearings will fit over it easier. Lots of sanding. I greased the shaft and installed the thrust bearing, shock spring and bushings. The threads for the cap plate were coated with paint, so I ran a 1/4-28 tap through them to clean them out. Finally, I installed the wheel & tire assembly and spat brackets.
