I had to remove the nose gear top retainer plate, bushing and thrust bearing first, then I inserted the top bushing into the motor mount flanges. Then I place one half of the lower bushing in the lower brracket, inserted the nose gear and then installed the second half of the lower bushing. To keep the pre-assembly stable I supported the front tire with a stool.
