Brief Description: Soldered 4-pin connector jack to tail light
I attempted to use the heat activated solder splices on my tail light connection, but I found they require a torch (not a heat gun) to melt the solder. I tried a lighter, which worked but the soot covered the connection and the heat was not very controlable. I removed the splices.
I cut the wires to length so that the connections will be offset, twisted the wires together and then soldered the connections. I then folded the wire over the connection for strain relief, applied heat shrink tubing to each connection and then the entire splice. I labled the connections in my notebook for future documentation.
