Once the U shaped hinge was formed, I proceeded to trim the outer contour. These pictures show how I do these....I'm sure there are a thousand better ways...but this is just how I do it.
First put .75 wood in hinge to support legs, drill and rough trim
Using pivot fitting on sander, rotate to get good radius around hole
