Brief Description: Started aft fin hinge fabrication
Aft lower hinge is supposed to be a steel U that is .75 inner width. This is too narrow to use any of my folding or press brakes...so....back to the old fashion hammer and form blocks. (I thought about welding up a fancy tool for parts like this including spring back relief and width control...but I decided that for a one-off...that was a bit too retentive...even for me. Anyway, I took a few pictures of how I built this bracket (to be continued in next build session
Oh, by the way, the reason this was a 1.5 hour session was because I built two of these. The first one came out with a .69 width. the second is about .73....I'm going to call that close enough to the .75 nominal. The part can flex .020, or, the bushing it mates with can be made slightly shorter.....
